Thanksgiving Week in Waco!

Happy Thanksgiving, Wacotown!

Like many others, I will be hosting friends and family from out of town. I am so excited to have the opportunity to show off our vibrant community. On Monday, my great aunt and cousin came into town and we partook in all the glory of Magnolia (traffic, construction, food-trucks and all). This weekend my parents will be in town and I can’t wait to share the city I love with them. Magnolia may be some peoples’ #1 must-see in Waco, but I have assembled a great list of events to share with loved ones whether they are locals or just in town for the holidays.

  • On Friday, there is going to be an hour and a half of live improv comedy featuring a cast of hilarious professionals from SlapStix at Rogue Media Network. Suggestions will be taken from the audience and will be used for scenes throughout the night. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. show at 8 p.m. Tickets: https://bit.ly/3o4IUCm

  • Bring your family and friends and help celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Homestead Fair this weekend, the 26th through 28th. There will be outdoor food, craft activities, gospel music, hayrides and more. $10 per day; $15 weekend; children 16 and younger are free.

  • Wild Lights at Cameron Park Zoo kicks off this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join the Cameron Park Zoo for its celebration of the holidays with thousands of tiny lights until January 9th. Santa will also be making an appearance every day until 6 p.m. from now through December 23rd.

  • It's time for Friendsgiving in the Undercroft on Saturday! Gather with friends and stuff your face with tasty food and cocktails while celebrating wonderful friends at an exclusive underground speakeasy style social club. They are asking for you to bring a recipe card with you for whatever you made (food or cocktail wise) to exchange with friends! RSVP now.

  • Join Black Daisy Boutique For the BIGGEST sale of the year and I guarantee you don't want to miss this Small Business Saturday! Get a FREE $20 gift card if you spend $25 or more at the store 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be $10-$25 doorbusters, drinks, all clearance marked down to $15 and one person who spends $100 or more will win ONE free item from the store EVERY SINGLE month in 2022 with a $25 purchase. The free item will be the winners choice every month! That is WILD you guys!
