About the Know Waco Project
COMMUNITY LOVE
Our mission is to give the locals of Waco news and events about the goings-on in and around town. We want to feature events that help diversify and enhance the culture of Waco. We would like to be able to hit up the places of Waco that everyday people pass by without ever thinking about going to. We want to be able to give the true Waco experience and give locals a sense of community by attending events, learning about their home and wanting to be a part of something that is both familiar and bigger than themselves.
MORE TO OUR HOME
We want to give an authentic look into the everyday life of Waco while highlighting all the life around the city. We would love to show how individuals who wouldn’t normally be interested in the idea of going to things in Waco because “there is nothing to do in Waco” actually have things to go do or be interested in. Essentially, to show individuals that Waco is home to something for everyone (not just things for tourists)!
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT
Overall, we plan to get people interested in their home town and find what makes them feel at home here. We’re here to help individuals grow in their element and learn/be involved with the things they care about and want to be apart of. Waco as a community can now get active and involved with one another to help grow meaningful and diverse connections.
